CAFOD Club
We are running a CAFOD club for KS2 children. Our CAFOD club will help our pupils to take the lead in putting Catholic Social Teaching into action, supporting the Catholic life of our school. We will be linking our learning with our school mission - Serve the Lord with Joy as One School, One Family.
Our CAFOD club prayer.
After listening to the CAFOD club song, we began our club by creating posters that best shared our club's message - Everyone is welcome here and we want to build a brighter world together.

We have started to play a game of 'Always, Sometimes or Never?' We answer the questions honestly and then think about which of the Catholic Social Teaching principles best fits the scenario. Here is our first one.

We also considered a rather big question...which of the Catholic Social Teaching principles is the most important and why? Here's what we thought. Do you agree?
At CAFOD club, we have been thinking about our school mission and motto - Serve the Lord with Joy as One School, One Family - and what that means in terms of Catholic Social Teaching. This is what we thought.
As we started a new term of CAFOD club, after welcoming our new members and singing our song to them, we thought a good introduction would be for us to all write a prayer. Here's what we created.
Today we were thinking about the Jubilee Year - Pilgrims of Hope and we considered how we, as CAFOD club, can be Pilgrims of Hope. We created posters to share our ideas.
Today, we reflected on Pope Francis’ letter, Laudato Si’ in which he calls upon everyone to look after and care for our common home. We listened to the CAFOD song to go along with this important letter and we created our own verses to it.

Today we wrote some prayers for Pope Francis, asking for him to be healed as soon as possible.
In CAFOD club today, we got into small groups and randomly chose CST principles. We then acted them out in front of the rest of the group who had to guess which principle we were acting. It was great fun and our acting and interpretations were fabulous!
On October 7th a representative from CAFOD came to speak to all the school about their work and how the children can get involved
