Equality
Each child at St Bartholomew’s is taught that they hold individual dignity and their distinct characters, gifts and talents are cherished and nurtured by the school. The diversity in our school community is valued and celebrated. We teach our children to be respectful, responsible members of our local community and of the wider society and to develop positive, cooperative relationships with each other.
Our vision at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Primary School is to create a joyful Christian environment which caters for the individual academic, social and spiritual needs of each child within a caring school family in which all individuals are valued and respected as much for their differences as for their similarities.
Equality Statement
At St Bartholomew’s RC Primary School, we are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents, and carers receiving services from the school, irrespective of race, gender, disability, faith or religion or socio-economic background. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and able to participate fully in school life.
We will tackle discrimination by the positive promotion of equality, challenging bullying and stereotypes and creating an environment which champions respect for all. At St Bartholomew’s RC Primary, we believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach, and visit here.
We are committed to teaching our children the Christian values which underpin our school. Children know that they are all part of God’s family, they are loved and they are treated with precious individual dignity and respect.
St Bartholomew’s School is a Christian community. Every one of our members is loved and accepted as they are, and each individual holds personal dignity which is valued and respected.
We are against discrimination, prejudice or racism of any kind.
