Hi St Paul's class!

Monday 1st May - bank holiday.

Friday 5th May - Coronation celebrations.

Monday 8th May - bank holiday

w/c Monday 15th May - SATs week for all children in year 2.

Reminders:

  • Please make sure all clothing items are clearly labelled with your child's name.
  • A reusable water bottle should be named and brought into school daily for your child.
  • Our PE day is on Tuesday, children must have PE kits in school at all times (again, clearly labelled)
  • We are starting a new phonics and spelling programme this year so there will be changes to how reading books and spelling tests work compared to last year. Reading books have now been sent home and children will have a day where they can change their own book. This will be an independent activity in order to promote reading for pleasure. Miss Hughes and Mrs Sayers will be hearing children reading different books from our new phonics scheme 3 times a week.
  • Homework is given out on Fridays and is due back on the following Wednesday.

We had a SUPER day today for our Superhero day! We made our own superhero puppets, decorated our superhero biscuits and create a wanted poster for the 'Green Meanie' from our class text.

We have been learning about plants in Science and went on a plant hunt in the field.

We made some amazing animal masks out of clay. We made either a lion, leopard, giraffe, a zebra or a gazelle. What do you think?

Look who got the kindness award this week!

We had a go at playing some African drums and learnt an African dance routine - we had a great day!

Year 2 had a brilliant Chinese dance workshop today to celebrate Chinese New Year!

We had an excellent road safety workshop today! We learnt about how to be safe when crossing the road - Stop, look, listen, think and hold your adults hand.

Learning about Epiphany celebrations in French

Year 2 had a great time playing in the snow - especially when Miss Finaldi came and joined in!

Our amazing Christmas Play - The Inn Crowd! We had the best time performing to you all - we hope you enjoyed it!

Great Fire of London Day - we had such a fun day making bread, writing letters to the King, burning Tudor houses and having a bucket race.

We had a great time looking for signs of Autumn in Swanley park!

Look at our amazing Tudor houses that we made for our homework!
